Jamie M. Lloyd - a.k.a "Little Miz Cupcake"
I am a self taught baker. I have been baking since I was a little girl. Baking has always been my sweet side hustle. In 2011 I took my sweet side hustle and turned it into a business from my kitchen. I was so excited that I gained a ton of customers and corporate customers by word of mouth. In 2014 I opened up my first location at the Willow Grove Park Mall. The mall was a great experience and taught me so much. This cupcake journey has been a heck of a ride but I love every moment and have turned all my losses into lessons. In the middle of my cupcake journey I begin teaching middle school in 2015. It has been crazy mixing baking and teaching but I love absolutely every minute of it. What can I say I have two passions and I feel so blessed. My goal is to promote literacy one cupcake at a time in my bakery.
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Women's Studies and Criminal Justice from Temple University and a Master of Arts Degree in Education from Rosemont College. I am a Hallahan "HH" Girl for Life Class 90". Next to family, baking and teaching are the best things in my Life. Teacher by day and Baker by night what can I say I have two passions. Baking lifts my spirits and teaching is the creative inspiration behind my cupcakes.
LIVE, LAUGH & LOVE
Each time I put a cupcake in the box to go out to a customer I get so excited! I make my cupcakes with lots of love and I love the feedback I receive from customers when they express how much they enjoy my treats.
My family and friends have eaten more cupcakes then the law allows... I figure why not take this to the next level? Your family and friends (who can sometimes be your biggest critics) truly love my baked items. So why not share them with the world...?
I eat, sleep and dream about cupcakes and my students! Life is all about the journey and I have a story to tell. So let my cupcakes bring a bit of Joy and Happiness to you and your family!
Margaret A. Rhodes - The Original "Miz"
The Original "Miz" is my Mom and she is my greatest inspiration next to God himself. We share a great love for each other and have a special bond. I think of her each time I bake a cupcake and I am inspired by her strength, passion, spunk and "Don't Quit" mindset.
My mom is the person I go to when life gets me turned upside down. I can always learn from her wisdom and love. Before the "Whole Foods" revolution, Miz raised us on healthy, home-cooked foods with natural and organic ingredients. Today, she is still here with advice and encouragement. She is the driving force behind Little Miz Cupcake and will always have a special place in my heart.
